Howdy Everybody,
It truly has been 5 years since my last post. I am not sure why...
I have been on many adventures since my last post, including going to live in Miami a couple of times. 5 years later, I have begun my thirties and am slightly more mature, and find my earlier blogs embarrassingly immature. It's nice to have an anthology of your thought process. I have been in the Air Force for over 9 years of ups and downs. I am currently on the fence on whether I will stay in or out. The next year will determine my future in the Air Force.
I am deployed to Afghanistan once more as an Air Advisor. This deployment is completely different than my last one with the Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT). First, I am with the Air Force and not the Army. Luckily there is a mixture of Fighter and Special Ops guys here as leaders to ensure that it is not painfully big blue. Second the Forward Operating Base (FOB) here is AWESOME!!! Well, compared to the PRT FOB at least. I am in the "lovely" Afghan capital living in better living conditions. There isn't much risk of starving at this place. I also have my own room and bathroom! There is also wi-fi! That's right ladies and germs, I am writing this from the comfort of my own "hooch". I also changed the title of the blog from "Shamtastic Voyage/Go Go Power JoJo" to "Asian Texan" to represent how I view myself in this world. I find that I can never let Texas go during my 2 year stint in Alabama (more on that later).
